A latency guarantee model is derived for reliable edge-node cooperation. Firstly, the statistical characteristics of task offloading delay is analyzed based on embedded Markov theory. Secondly, the probabilistic delay of task computing on device side is characterized based on network calculus theory. Finally, a performance evaluation model oriented to delay and reliability perception is proposed. Analysis validates that the proposed strategy can improve the task reliability with specific delay requirements compared with the schemes based on average delay or average rate optimization. %U https://journal.bupt.edu.cn/EN/10.13190/j.jbupt.2020-139
